Post-Doctoral Researcher In Translation, Interpretation, And Multimodal Communication
A position is offered for a Post‑Doctoral Researcher to do 50% research as part of the Horizon Europe project Credible and 50% teaching in Communication, Sustainability, and Stakeholder Engagement in person at Cantoblanco campus in Madrid. Desired start date: 1 September ****.
Requirements
* Degree: Doctoral degree in Communication or related Social Sciences, Humanities, or Engineering disciplines.
* Experience: Academic research and development and assessment of stakeholder engagement campaigns.
* Language: English required, Spanish desired, other European languages helpful.
* Will be valued: Ability to work in a team and lead a research line; a record of high‑quality publications; familiarity with EU policy and programs related to circular economy and energy transitions; experience with stakeholder engagement research; teaching experience.
Tasks
1. **Research Responsibilities (50%)** The successful candidate will co‑lead work packages on stakeholder engagement and replication strategies for circular construction in the EU, as part of the Horizon Europe project CREDIBLE. Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and facilitating participatory workshops and focus groups with diverse stakeholders and communities.
* Developing socio‑technical frameworks to support the scaling of circular solutions across diverse cultural and geographic contexts.
* Collaborating with an international consortium on policy analysis, communication strategies, and sustainability transitions.
Candidates should have expertise in social science research methods, sustainability transitions, stakeholder engagement, and/or environmental communication; familiarity with participatory methods, the Multi‑Level Perspective (MLP), and circular economy frameworks; and a strong record of academic writing and interdisciplinary collaboration.
2. **Faculty Responsibilities (50%)** The other half of the position is dedicated to faculty service and undergraduate teaching, including:
* Teaching up to 9 ECTS per year in Communication (e.g., courses related to communication theory, environmental communication, or qualitative methods based on the candidate's profile).
* Supporting departmental initiatives, including research events, student supervision, or curriculum development.
* Contributing to the academic life of the faculty.
Applicants should demonstrate either prior teaching experience or clear ability to manage a classroom, strong communication skills, and a commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary learning environments.
