At ASTEK Iberia, we are looking for a Software Engineer to lead the adoption of AI-assisted development practices across a large-scale consumer healthcare organization.
This is not a pure coding role. It's a unique mix of:
* Hands-on engineering
* Developer enablement & coaching
* Governance and quality leadership
You'll play a key role in shaping how engineering teams leverage AI to build better software—faster, but responsibly.
Main responsibilities:
* Define best practices for AI-assisted coding across teams
* Establish clear guidelines for using AI in generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation
* Build reusable playbooks, patterns, and prompt libraries
* Partner with teams to deliver their first AI-assisted applications
* Coach engineers on turning AI-generated code into maintainable solutions
* Evaluate and integrate tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar
* Embed AI into the development lifecycle (IDE, CI/CD, code reviews)
* Define quality standards for AI-generated code
* Ensure compliance with security, licensing, and data privacy requirements
* Train and onboard teams on AI-assisted workflows
* Measure impact on productivity, quality, and delivery speed
Who are you?
* 5–10 years of experience in software engineering
* Strong development background (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar)
* Proven, hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor (real use cases, not just experimentation)
* Experience in mentoring or coaching engineers (highly important)
Key Skills
* Prompt engineering for code generation
* Validation and review of AI-generated code
* Modern architecture (APIs, microservices)
* Testing, code quality, and performance
* CI/CD and developer workflows
