We ARE looking for a Welding / Steel Construction Specialist to support our client on a short-term supplier audit near Cadiz.
You will join the clients audit team as the technical expert for a single 3-day audit, with the possibility of further ad-hoc audit assignments if additional scopes arise. This is not a full-time or long-term inspection role.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Attend a 3-day on-site supplier audit in the Cadiz area.
- Assess the yard's welding procedures, welder qualifications, and production tests.
- Review steel construction activities, including fit-up, dimensional control, and NDT records.
- Evaluate quality documentation, ITPs, weld maps, and NCRs.
- Provide technical input to audit findings and non-conformances.
- Support the Lead Auditor in report writing and close-out.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes (ISO 3834, EN 1090, AWS D1.1, etc.).
Requirements / Your Profile:
- Mandatory: Previous experience in yard construction of HVDC converter platforms.
- Mandatory: Formal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, IRCA, or similar).
- Mandatory: Recognised welding qualification (IWE, EWE, CSWIP, AWS CWI, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of heavy steel fabrication, offshore standards, and classification society requirements.
- Ability to assess systems and processes, not just product quality.
- Fluent English (reporting language). Spanish is an advantage.
- Local to Cadiz region strongly preferred (to minimise expenses and travel time).
- Applicants must clearly state HVDC converter platform experience, audit qualification, and welding certification on CV (MANDATORY).

Assignment : 3 days per audit (1 audit confirmed, potential for 2–3 + total)
