Spanish Accounting & Accounts Payable Analyst
As the Spanish Accounting & Accounts Payable Analyst, you will play a key role in the financial operations of the company, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and General Accounting (80%), and a supporting role in Payroll review and compliance (20%) .
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & General Accounting (80%)
* Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and timely payments in compliance with internal controls and Spanish regulations.
* Review and validate vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and alignment with purchase orders.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP ledgers and assist in monthly reconciliations.
* Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
* Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
* Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT and withholding tax reporting.
* Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Payroll Review & Compliance (20%)
* Review monthly payroll calculations prepared by ADP to ensure accuracy and compliance with Spanish labor laws and internal policies.
* Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, leaves (maternity/paternity/sick), and garnishments.
* Reconcile payroll reports and ensure alignment with accounting records.
* Assist in the review of Social Security contributions and tax filings (e.g., models 111, 190, 296).
* Maintain payroll-related documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
