This role will be responsible for helping to build a portfolio of raw material suppliers for biofuel production, focusing on new seeds and first- and second-generation waste products. In the long term, the team will also need to source new and innovative raw materials for an expanding range of low-carbon fuel production processes.
Your specific focus will be on making short-term acquisitions and structuring long-term partnerships with a variety of feedstock providers to meet Repsol's growing feedstock needs.
Main Accountabilities:
* Build a feedstocks business.
* Risk Management of feedstocks Bunge Repsol JV.
* Explore and develop long-term structural opportunities for the supply of raw materials in coordination with Trading and Business Transformation, with special attention to sustainable raw materials with low carbon emissions for supply to pretreatment assets and/or HVO/SAF/Biodiesel.
* Support the development of optimized internal and/or third-party opportunities, working closely with technology teams to optimize the entire asset design/raw material supply interface.
* Develop supply logistics chains for the supply of raw materials.
* Work closely with Repsol and Bunge structures to understand regulations, their impact on supply and demand, and develop strategies for optimal supply.
* Optimize the portfolio of oils and feedstocks to maximize margins throughout the value chain.
* Maintain a low-carbon fuel strategy aligned with the value of raw materials, ensuring consistency across business lines within Bunge Repsol JV.
* Maintain compliance with Bunge Iberica principles and promote a compliance culture.
Education / Experience:
* Bachelor's or undergraduate degree in Engineering, Experimental Sciences, or Business Administration.
* At least 5 years of experience in biofuel feedstocks such as used cooking oil, animal fats, vegetable oils, or advanced raw materials.
* Experience in structuring purchase contracts and managing risks/exposures.
* Supply chain development and/or optimization experience is desirable.
* Ability to travel up to 25%.
* Strong market knowledge and business development skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills in multicultural environments.
* Resilient, entrepreneurial, and capable of leading teams without formal authority.
* Languages: Spanish and English; additional languages like Chinese, French, German are a plus.
