We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Solution Architect to join our Architecture CoE team.
Key Responsibilities
Design end‑to‑end technical solutions ensuring alignment with domain architecture, enterprise architecture and IT strategy.
Refine technical solution directions and dependencies drafted in epics in coordination with Enterprise Architect, Domain Architect and squad members.
Provide knowledge, vision and structure to help find solutions to programmes or complex IT environments.
Guide squads to find the best solution according to IT strategy and listen to tribe needs, helping on epic and feature prioritisation.
Ensure that implemented solutions are aligned with design and standards.
Collaborate with Domain Architect and Chapter leads to elaborate tribe and asset roadmaps.
Help to align and resolve dependencies between squads.
Facilitate epic slicing into features and feature planning, cooperating with delivery squads to maintain close relationship with delivery counterparts.
Work with IT Chapter Leads on evolution and maintenance of tribe’s IT landscape.
Ensure solutions designed are aligned within Domain Architecture horizons.
Maintain contact with various stakeholders at all levels of ING to achieve purpose.
Ensure documentation of maintenance systems is up to date, including new solutions implemented.
Qualifications
Clear strategic vision of the bank and IT objectives.
Problem‑solving mindset with ability to evaluate different solutions and balance requirements.
Understanding of technology strategy applied to tribe assets or products.
Background as software engineer, architect or similar position with technical background.
High knowledge of infrastructure and IT assets of the tribe domain.
Ability to influence and manage stakeholders.
Rapid decision‑making based on intuition, not step‑by‑step reasoning.
Ability to distinguish important from less important details.
Adaptable and adaptable, able to face uncertainty and update knowledge across disciplines.
Assertive communicator, able to communicate clearly, directly and appropriately.
