You will work in one of our operational centers, providing practical guidance to your team and gaining a clear view of your center's operations. This involves data collection and problem-solving in a dynamic environment. You will also have the opportunity to develop operational plans to increase productivity and efficiency, including launching comprehensive improvement projects that cover operational processes and equipment maintenance. The role emphasizes team leadership and performance management, including organizing training courses.About the team
Our Maintenance and Reliability Engineers (RME) team ensures our systems operate at peak performance. We are characterized by technical aptitude and excellent teamwork, led by experienced managers. Our work involves maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment across our global distribution centers, including adapting buildings to current legislation for safety and efficiency. The RME team offers many opportunities for professional growth. Our main goal is to minimize downtime in critical operations centers so customers receive their orders on time.We often work early mornings or late at night to perform maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts. We are also capable of developing and implementing new processes and cutting-edge technology, such as Amazon Robotics and complex item classifiers.Basic qualifications
University degree in a technical discipline.Relevant experience in maintenance within an industrial or production environment managing complex processes.Experience managing a team of engineers.Experience coordinating and managing relationships with various business partners, including external suppliers.Advanced level of English (spoken and written) and high intermediate level of Spanish.Preferred qualifications
Experience working with regulatory frameworks, compliance controls, and machine safety protocols.Experience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery and sorting systems.Experience with data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.Experience with project management or processes such as Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma.Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
