Corporate Plastic Process Engineer
About the role
The main mission of the role will be to define and standardize manufacturing procedures within our plastic extrusion processes, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, cost, and delivery requirements, while driving continuous improvement across our production plants.
The main responsibilities will involve:
Analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes considering available production resources
Identifying and evaluating improvement opportunities in productivity and efficiency of extrusion processes
Implementing and ensuring adoption of training plans for operators and technicians on procedures and standards
Following up with local teams to ensure adherence to process parameters and operational standards
Collaborating with R&D, Maintenance, Quality and other departments to ensure successful implementation of improvements
Proposing and implementing improved work methods to reduce costs and lead times without compromising quality
Managing and maintaining technical documentation systems (procedures, work instructions, etc.)
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and similar methodologies
Developing action plans to solve production issues and enhance operational performance
Monitoring KPIs and conducting data analysis to assess process efficiency
Driving process standardization across different plants and production areas
Supporting occupational safety initiatives, fostering a zero-accident culture
Leading training and development in Lean Manufacturing and process standards
Supporting industrialization of new processes, acting as a link between R&D and production
Participating in industrial projects related to equipment upgrades and modernization
Qualifications
Hold a Degree in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
Have at least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within the industrial sector
Have knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.)
Possess strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset
Are comfortable working cross-functionally and coordinating with different departments
Have experience with data analysis tools and process simulation software
Have an intermediate-high level of English
Are flexible and adaptable to changes in production environments
Are willing to travel to support different production sites
