PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, headquartered in Andalusia, AL, is a generation and transmission (G&T) electric cooperative with 22 distribution members—18 electric distribution systems and four municipal electric systems—in Alabama and northwest Florida. Its member systems provide power to end‑use consumers across 51 counties in Alabama and 10 counties in Florida. Job Summary & Minimum Qualifications
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and provide reliable, quality services with audio/video capabilities, multimedia services, webcasting, video conferencing, and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) services in a way that serves the needs of member systems, PowerSouth employees, and other stakeholders. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Technology, Video Production, Photography, Multimedia, Information Systems, Networking or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in a related field. Experience in electronic media production, AV systems integration, desktop applications, printing equipment, and basic knowledge of PC hardware and software is preferred. Technical expertise in MS‑Windows, PC applications, hardware maintenance, software installation, and PC‑AV integration is required. The incumbent must achieve required AV certifications within one year of employment and participate in ongoing AV training.
Job Responsibilities

* Oversee individual and site requests including maintenance and troubleshooting of in‑house audio‑video control systems in conference rooms and boardrooms, computer networking, and assist with AV system integration to ensure equipment is operational.
* Set up and install equipment such as microphones, speakers, audio mixers, amplifiers, video screens, projectors, monitors, recording gear, and cables for meetings, conventions, presentations, and news conferences during regular hours, after hours, and occasionally weekends for on‑site and off‑site locations.
* Coordinate PowerSouth's UAS assets and use through regulatory, technical, and operational expertise;
handle FAA and other regulatory waivers, permissions, and record‑keeping, and maintenance of UAS equipment.
* Assist in providing photography and videography services on campus and on location during regular and after‑hours periods.
* Support the Communications Department with creative services as needed for PowerSouth and its distribution members.
* Promote teamwork, group goals, effective communication, and respect for standards of dignity, accountability, integrity, and trustworthiness within the organization and with member systems.
