Role Overview The EMEA Communications Manager plays a critical leadership role in accelerating regional growth by combining best‐in‐class growth marketing execution. This role is responsible for translating commercial and product priorities into coherent, impactful communication and go‐to‐market plans across the region. The role ensures consistent, clear, and effective messaging across all channels and regions.
The successful candidate will be an empathetic and highly effective facilitator/communicator, able to collaborate closely with Commercial Directors and Product Managers. Listen actively to stakeholders, convert commercial objectives into structured marketing and communication plans, and constructively challenge assumptions and activities where appropriate. They will help define focus areas for key events and ensure marketing initiatives effectively support agreed strategic objectives.
As a mediator, he/she translates all regional/cluster ideas and goals into one coordinated Planasa communication strategy and marketing execution as part of the company's overall priorities. This position involves managing strategy and team members, often acting as a bridge between senior directors and staff specialists, a key enabler of the company's mid‐to‐long‐term growth plans across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities Strategy facilitation Support the business owners in defining and documenting their strategies, focusing on "Where to Grow" and "How to Win".
Convert commercial objectives into structured marketing and communication plans.
Support the expansion of Planasa across EMEA aligned with global strategic objectives.
Facilitate the design of the company strategy and Mid‐Long Term Plan (MLTP) for EMEA.
Communication Develop and implement an EMEA communication strategy aligned with corporate and commercial priorities.
Manage internal communications in close collaboration with the internal communications department to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned.
Oversee external communications, including corporate messaging, website, press releases, social media, and media relations.
Ensure brand consistency across all communication materials and channels.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, R&D, HR, and Leadership teams to translate business goals into clear communication plans.
Manage communication related to key initiatives, launches, and events.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on communication topics and messaging.
Events management Define and lead the EMEA events strategy as a core component of the growth marketing and communication plan.
Plan, promote, and execute events together with the marketing team, including showrooms, open days, trade shows, and other activities.
Transform events into strategic communication and demand‐generation assets aligned with brand positioning and sales priorities.
Evaluate and classify events as strategic, tactical, or dispensable based on impact, ROI, and alignment with business priorities.
Establish and deploy integral event protocols to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency across the region.
Continuously optimize the event portfolio using performance data and feedback.
Coordinate with communication and marketing specialists, overseeing end‐to‐end delivery and ensuring cross‐functional alignment.
Manage agencies, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver high‐quality experiences.
M&A integration & business transformation Act as mediator, aligning teams, processes, and culture to support growth post‐acquisition consistency.
Support the integration process of newly acquired companies within EMEA.
Required academic training Master's degree in Marketing, International Business Management or Communications.
Required Work Experience Senior experience in marketing communication roles (approximately 10 years) within an EMEA context, ideally in agriculture or food.
Proven track record in cross‐functional leadership and strategic planning.
Strong expertise in event‐led growth and field marketing.
Executive‐level communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Passion for agriculture.
