Full Stack Java Developer – EY GDS Spain (Hybrid)

The Opportunity
As part of our team at the EY GDS Spain office in Málaga, you will have the chance to broaden your knowledge and experience by working on exciting projects with the latest technologies and approaches. You will support clients in choosing the most suitable business solutions and actively contribute to their digital transformation initiatives.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable applications across both the back‑end and front‑end. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software aligned with business needs.
Your responsibilities include:
* Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable Java applications using Spring and Spring Boot
* Building and maintaining responsive front‑end components using Angular and/or React.Js
* Developing and consuming RESTful APIs for data‑driven, service‑oriented architectures
* Collaborating with DevOps, QA, and UX/UI teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
* Identifying and resolving issues in SAP‑related processes, ensuring data consistency and system integrity
* Writing clean, efficient, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns
* Integrating and optimizing applications with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
* Participating in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting
* Contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle: planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support
* Continuously learning and applying emerging technologies to improve application performance and maintainability
Skills And Attributes For Success
To thrive in this role, you should bring a strong foundation in full‑stack development, a proactive mindset, and the ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
* Strong proficiency in Java and object‑oriented programming principles
* Hands‑on experience with the Spring ecosystem, especially Spring Boot
* Solid front‑end development skills with Angular and/or React.Js
* Ability to design, implement, and consume REST APIs
* Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
* Knowledge of design patterns and industry best practices
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
* Strong organizational and analytical skills
* Experience developing and integrating RESTful services and working with relational databases
* Fluency in English
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
* Fluency in Spanish or French
* Experience working in international or multicultural environments
