Offer Description
We are seeking a candidate to apply for an FPU (University Teaching Training plan for new lecturers; Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Spain) fellowship within the framework of the project: "Translational Integration of Psychophysiology, Behavioural Pharmacology and Psychobiology in the Modulation of Neural Circuits for Dysfunctional Eating", which focuses on investigating the neurobiological mechanisms underlying dysfunctional eating behaviours through an integrative approach combining psychophysiology, behavioural pharmacology, and psychobiology.
Project Overview
This project aims to explore the modulation of neural circuits involved in appetite control and emotional regulation using advanced psychophysiological techniques (e.g., EEG, HRV), behavioural pharmacology, and neurobiological analysis. Experimental models and interdisciplinary methodologies will be employed to examine the interplay between emotional, neurochemical, and behavioural factors in the development of eating disorders.
Candidate Profile
* Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Biology or a related discipline.
* Currently pursuing an official Master's degree that qualifies for doctoral studies in Spain.
* Preferably with prior research experience, evidenced by publications, conference presentations, or participation in research projects.
* Strong interest in psychophysiology, neuropharmacology, psychobiology, and the study of eating behaviour disorders.
* Motivation to undertake a doctoral thesis and develop an academic career in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

* Monthly Stipend
o Scholars receive a monthly salary throughout the duration of the predoctoral contract.
o The amount is set annually by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Eligibility criteria
Academic Qualifications
* Candidates must hold a university degree that allows access to a doctoral programme in Spain.
* For degrees obtained abroad:
o Non-EU nationals must have their degree officially recognised or homologated.
o EU nationals must have their degree officially recognised in Spain.
Doctorate Status
* Candidates must not have obtained a doctoral degree prior to submitting the application.
* Documentation Requirements
o Official academic transcripts showing grades, credits, and date of completion.
o Degree recognition or homologation documents if required.
