General Summary The Henry Schein EMEA Supply Chain team is looking for an Industrial Engineer to act as a project manager for various levels of complexity projects in support of distribution operations and/or process improvement projects. This position will require an average of 35–45% travel, with peaks of up to ~60%, depending on project locations and needs. The preferred candidate should be located near any of our offices in France, the UK, Germany, or Spain. Essential Responsibilities: Evaluate warehouse processes and material handling methods for process improvements; enhance distribution center productivity and reduce costs. Support and manage the design and engineering efforts for material storage, handling, and technology projects, including establishing equipment requirements and bid specifications, developing RFP Design/Build packages, evaluating and selecting suppliers, assessing project alternatives, creating drawings in AutoCAD (conceptual and detailed layouts), and managing project implementation, schedules, and budgets. Analyze operational data to resolve issues using MS Access, Excel, SQL/Python, Oracle, or other tools. Develop project scopes, specifications, and estimates as needed. Manage diverse projects and teams across operations, engineering, and information systems, coordinating activities organization-wide. Define activities, sequences, dependencies, and durations to complete projects via formal schedules or project plans. Assess and manage project risks, including engineering, technical, financial, or business factors. Communicate project status and issues in a timely manner. Analyze project spending, forecast budgets, and review past project expenditures. Perform time studies and establish time-studied standards as required. Desired Qualifications: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering within a distribution environment, including project management, or equivalent experience. Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Access (including database functions), MS Excel, MS Project; knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma, warehouse technology, advanced conveyor systems, and electrical/mechanical systems is desirable. Good analytical and project leadership skills. Ability to communicate and organize effectively across various organizational levels.
