OverviewFinance Director for a Media Agency, responsible for client financial management, accounting, reporting, and internal team leadership, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS), corporate policies, and strategic objectives of the Group.
ResponsibilitiesClient Management
Manage client contracts and understand their economic aspects.
Recognize revenue based on contracts and corporate policies.
Coordinate international global clients.
Direct interaction with clients, understanding their financial processes affecting our operations (invoice processing, payments, etc.).
Manage client audits and liaise with client-appointed auditors.
Identify and resolve overdue invoices to improve Trade Working Capital.
Accounting
Knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS.
Implement revenue recognition policies.
Expense recognition and management.
Controlling / Budgeting / Reporting
Direct reporting to the Group CFO in Iberia.
Prepare periodic reports on time and in accordance with IFRS standards.
Monthly closing reports preparation.
Prepare annual budget and periodic forecasts (Revenue, General Expenses).
Ensure strategic objectives of the Group are met.
Analyze variances and propose initiatives to achieve objectives.
Internal Management and External Relations
Team management and supervision of the finance department.
Liaise with different Group departments and Shared Service Centers.
Manage reporting lines.
Provide basic support to the CEO/COO with recommendations and solutions.
Manage internal, external, and client audits.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in financial management, preferably in media or related sectors.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
Experience in revenue recognition, budgeting, reporting, and client finance management.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Experience coordinating international clients and teams.
Additional Information
Reports directly to the Group CFO in Iberia.
Position requires interaction with top management and global clients.
Strategic role contributing to Group objectives and financial performance.
