At the Carlos Simon Foundation, we offer an excellent position for an HR Manager, based in Paterna, Valencia (Spain). The person who joins will be responsible for developing and leading the HR strategy, in coordination with Management and other managers of the Foundation and associated companies, with the aim of facilitating team management and development across all HR areas.
The Carlos Simón Foundation for Women's Research is a non-profit organization founded and directed by Professor Carlos Simón, a professor at the University of Valencia and a renowned clinical researcher in obstetrics and gynecology.
We are a multidisciplinary team of over 50 professionals working to create a world where women's health issues affecting the uterus no longer hinder their quality of life and reproductive desires. Our main activity is biomedical research in reproductive medicine and women's health, alongside initiatives to enhance our knowledge and its application.
Our organization is affiliated with the University of Valencia and the INCLIVA Health Research Institute, accredited by the Carlos III Health Institute, promoting educational access for students and fostering research careers.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Manage the employee lifecycle:
o Identify personnel needs through departmental relationships and coordinate selection processes.
o Coordinate onboarding with hiring managers.
o Attract, develop, and retain talent; develop motivational programs.
o Coordinate performance evaluations and training plans.
o Conduct work environment surveys and propose benefits and compensation policies.
* Manage HR department activities:
o Implement and enforce HR policies.
o Manage labor relations respecting current legislation.
o Maintain external relations with social security, employment services, and mutual societies.
o Coordinate occupational risk prevention to ensure health and safety compliance.
o Prepare and monitor the Equality Plan.
o Promote scholarship and internship programs with universities and public entities.
* Support organizational culture and strategy:
o Guide managers in team management.
o Participate in internal leadership training programs.
o Contribute to strategic planning and internal communication.
o Assist in financial planning related to personnel expenses.
Required Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Labour Sciences, Industrial Relations, or equivalent.
* Master's Degree in Human Resources Management.
* Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the described functions.
* Experience in people development and results-oriented work approach.
* Methodology based on standard procedures and templates for scalable growth.
* Planning, organizational, and project management skills.
* Transversal leadership competencies including active listening, conflict management, communication, adaptability, strategic vision, and trend analysis.
* Advanced level of English and office skills.
