About the Department - Agribusiness Southern Europe
Our Agribusiness Southern Europe team specializes in providing 360° advisory services for agricultural investments to deliver tailored, end-to-end solutions across Spain, Portugal, and Italy,. We support clients throughout the entire investment lifecycle, offering expertise in:
- Transaction Advisory: structuring and executing large-scale agricultural deals.
- Investment banking: advising on financial solutions with integral capital scope
- Valuation: delivering professional valuation services tailored to agricultural assets.
- Debt structuring: advising on debt structuring and debt raising
- Market Intelligence: providing in-depth market analysis and identifying key investment opportunities.
We collaborate closely with institutional investors, family offices, Ag Funds and agribusiness operators, helping them navigate complex international and cross-border transactions ensuring maximum value and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities - Senior Consultant Position
As a Senior Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality services and expanding our transaction advisory services while contributing to the department’s success and growth across Southern Europe.
Key Functions:
- Deal Execution & Advisory (buyside and sellside):
- Lead and support high-value agricultural complex transactions including asset deals, share deals and buy-and-lease structures
- Manage the full transaction lifecycle, from due diligence to negotiation and closing
- Prepare and adapt financial models tailored to specific transaction requirements
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key clients
- Develop tailored strategies to maximize asset value for both sellers and investors
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Spain, Portugal, and Italy and different crops and types of transaction
- Support the expansion of CBRE’s market presence by leveraging industry connections and market insights
- Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Deliver data-driven market analysis and insights into agricultural investment trends
- Collaborate with valuation, research, marketing and strategic consulting teams to support client decision-making
- Profile:
- Residence: Madrid - regional connections with Andalusia/Valencia
- Education: Business Administration/Economics - flexibility in law, engineering (fundamental experience in transaction advisory) - Work Experience: o
- 3 years of experience in transactions - important if you have experience in the agri-food sector, it would be positively valued, although not essential
- Pitch, negotiation of sale mandates, commercialization process from NBO phase, BO phase, DD, contracts, deal structuring, VDR, QA/IRL, etc.
- Skills:
- Financial, Office, CRM
- Commercial profile would be positively valued, although not essential
- Background in agronomy would be positively valued (e.g., family with agricultural properties)
- Languages: English is a must
- Availability to travel occasionally
- Driver's license
