Founded and headquartered in Sydney, we have teams located in 14 countries supporting our 1000+ international clients to optimize their digital communications.
**What are we hiring?**
Soprano Design is committed to creating a great place to work where our teams are empowered and enabled to deliver excellent service to our global customers. Building an organisation and culture where our employees thrive and our business succeeds is a critical and ongoing business strategy, driven and supported by our global P&C; team.
This role provides the opportunity for a people-focused problem solver to join Soprano as a key member of our EMEA & US team responsible for a range of projects and activities designed to build manager and employee capability and drive organisational performance while creating an engaging and enjoyable place to work.
**What are we looking for?**
We’re looking for a dynamic, and confident HR professional to act as a group wide consultant and coach, supporting people leaders to manage team and individual performance and development, while building capability and engagement through individual and/or program-based initiatives.
**What will you be responsible for?**
- Providing consulting, advisory, and coaching services to our global leaders in relation to a broad range of people practices including, for example, team and role design, managing underperformance, individual and team development, and employee engagement.
- Designing, supporting and/or delivering key projects to enhance the employee experience and ensure global compliance (e.g. onboarding and career development programs, performance management, manager capability uplift programs).
- Providing internal interpretation and advice relating to the organisation’s employment agreements, policies, awards and collective agreements.
- Leading or supporting cyclical HR programs including, for example, global salary benchmarking, salary review, talent review, succession planning, engagement/people surveys, and performance conversations.
- Assisting with the full talent lifecycle, including talent acquisition, as required (we’re a small team, so sometimes it’s “all hands on deck” to get things done and we need a genuine team player to help us out).
**What does it take?**
The job environment at Soprano is adaptable and constantly changing so to be successful, you’ll thrive in a role that requires constant innovation and allows you to use your creativity and idea generation to quickly solve new challenges. In addition, you’ll have:
- 1-2 years of experience as a HR generalist or HR business partner with direct client support and management coaching experience.
- Exposure to all HR specialties, ideally across multiple jurisdictions, and the ability to independently advise across a range of issues including performance management, remuneration and benefits, talent development and management, organizational design, management and leadership development, HR policies, and training.
- A passion and ability to identify, recommend and develop long-term people practices that will have a measurable impact on making Soprano a great place to work.
- A pragmatic and creative approach - we are redeveloping many of the basic building blocks needed in our function as well as the people programs required to drive engagement and we’re looking for innovative ideas that can scale globally.
- Drive, determination, and the ability to work independently and decisively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Flexibility to work across multiple time-zones and with multiple stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to consider multiple issues and data sources simultaneously to resolve complex workplaces issues.
- Degree qualified in HR or general business.
- After hours calls with our international teams and partners will be required from time to time so a degree of flexibility will be required.
