MissionThe IT Global Category Manager leads the strategic sourcing and category management of assigned tower of Grifols ́s global IT for IT categories. This role drives value creation, improvements, and risk mitigation across all IT categories by enabling strong supplier relationship management, ensuring robust contract and governance frameworks, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and transformation the organization.
What Your Responsibilities Will BeCategory Strategy and Sourcing Operations
Create, implement and execute a multi-year global IT category strategy (global and regional) across software (SaaS/cloud/on-premise), hardware, infrastructure/telecoms, and IT services.
Lead competitive sourcing events (RFx), complex negotiations, and contract structuring, underpinned by market intelligence, spend analysis, and TCO modelling.
Proactive management of contract renewals and change requests.
Review major contracts for key areas of spend and act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) resource for planning and leading complex negotiations or re-supply modeling. Create procurement playbook as it relates to cyclical spending.
Stakeholder & Business Partnering
Act as procurement business partner with IT leadership aligning IT and Category strategy.
Collaborate and partner with partner groups like Finance, Legal, InfoSec, Data Privacy, etc., to execute sourcing operations and priorities.
Develop, participate and manage budget, demand and transformation planning with IT stakeholders.
Lead Procurement function to maximize contribution to the achievement of business objectives, profitability and return on investment.
Work as a strategic business partner to develop and prioritize procurement change programs and projects to enable delivery of the short- and long-term objectives.
Coach team in the use of sophisticated commercial models, reports and forecasts to challenge and strengthen decision making processes across the business area.
Optimize key relationships across Grifols to take full advantage of efficiencies and leverage best practice.
Network externally to ensure staying abreast of current world class thinking.
Partner with the business and Procurement colleagues to create an environment of continued professional development and manage individual and team performance effectively.
Coach, perform performance management and identify development opportunities for indirect reports, ensuring appropriate succession planning and a strong development culture.
Supplier & Risk Management
Build, implement and execute strategic supplier management governance.
Supplier performance governance across IT and procurement KPIs.
Manage supplier risk, including financial, cybersecurity, GDPR compliance, and geopolitical exposure, and contractual risk.
Tools & Process Excellence
Drive adoption of procurement tools, processes, AI and advanced analytics.
Manage and support compliance of P2P, Procurement CoE and procurement policy.
Lead research and analytics efforts to validate savings projections and enable more precise supplier negotiations.
Sustainable Sourcing
Lead Global ESG initiative within the scope assigned.
Who You AreThis role requires the following qualifications and competencies.
Education, Skills & Competencies
Master's degree, Professional Business Qualification and extensive and significant track‐record in senior strategic Procurement.
Procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish required.

Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in indirect procurement, vendor management, and strategic sourcing with deep expertise in Information Technology, including but not limited to IT Services, Manufacturing, Software, Hardware, Telecom and Data Centers.
Deep experience with an IT spend portfolio is required.
Individual contributor role with possibility of growing into managing a small team.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed;
this role does not require extensive travel.
Demonstrates a successful track‐record of driving performance across a complex matrix within a global enterprise and has the ability to influence and optimize operating models for the functional area.
Ability to influence strategically, solve problems using conceptual and analytical thinking and constructively work through conflict.
Strong influencing skills, including ability to operate at Executive levels within the organization.
Analytical and data‐driven mindset, proven experience in market benchmarking.
Usage/familiarity of AI in procurement described.
High integrity, and compliance with ethics and compliance.

Hybrid model: Monday-Thursday 7-10 to 16-19h and Friday 8-15h (with flexible start time).
