Overview
Senior Electrical Engineer – Mission-Critical Infrastructure (remote based in Europe)
(Client-Side | Data Centers | Hyper-Growth Platform)
What You’ll Do
You’ll act as the electrical authority across multiple data center programs, shaping strategy as much as execution.
* Lead the electrical design of mission-critical data centers (new builds, expansions, and retrofits) from concept through commissioning
* Own end-to-end electrical systems: MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, protection schemes, grounding, redundancy philosophies, and grid interconnection
* Partner closely with mechanical, controls, architectural, commissioning, and operations teams to deliver fully integrated designs
* Set and evolve owner’s electrical standards, design guides, and modular solutions — not just follow them
* Review, challenge, and approve consultant designs with a sharp, detail-driven eye
* Drive resilience, efficiency, and sustainability into every electrical decision
* Support procurement, vendor selection, and factory/site acceptance testing
* Be present during construction and commissioning — solving real problems, not just marking up drawings
* Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring others and elevating the technical bar across the organization
* Travel as needed (roughly up to 25%) to support sites across regions
Who You Are
You’re an electrical engineer who knows data centers inside out — and you’re ready to stop advising from the sidelines.
* 7+ years in electrical engineering, with deep experience in data center or other mission-critical environments
* Background in a top-tier consultancy, OEM, or hyperscale delivery partner, now looking to move client-side
* Extremely strong fundamentals — you understand why systems are designed the way they are, not just how
* Comfortable owning decisions that affect availability, cost, and long-term operations
* Experienced working across regions and cultures, collaborating with global teams, vendors, and contractors
* Detail-oriented, technically rigorous, and calm under pressure
* Energized by fast growth, high standards, and minimal bureaucracy
* Electrical design and review tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, etc.)
* Load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and reliability modeling
* Familiarity with modular and scalable power architectures
