Factory Automation Consultant – Semiconductor Manufacturing | Contract Opportunities
Digisourced Ltd is seeking experienced Factory Automation Consultants to support automation and equipment integration within semiconductor manufacturing environments.

Role Overview
The role focuses on supporting factory automation and equipment connectivity within semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Consultants will work on implementing and maintaining SECS/GEM communication interfaces, enabling equipment integration with manufacturing host systems and supporting real‑time data collection and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and integrate SECS/GEM interfaces for semiconductor manufacturing equipment
* Configure equipment communication with host systems (communication parameters, data collection variables)
* Create and manage Siemens Camstar / OpCenter modelling recipes including validation and deployment
* Collect and analyse real‑time data from equipment sensors and processes
* Monitor equipment status and performance metrics
* Implement data collection strategies for Statistical Process Control (SPC)
* Support GUI, tool scheduling, recipe management and factory automation workflows
* Maintain and improve test automation frameworks
* Produce structured technical documentation and follow established testing practices
Required Experience
* Experience within semiconductor manufacturing environments
* Strong understanding of SECS/GEM standards (SEMI E30 and related standards)
* Experience with SECS/GEM message structures, communication protocols, and data formats
* Experience integrating semiconductor equipment with manufacturing host systems
* Experience working with Siemens Camstar / OpCenter
* Experience collecting and analysing equipment data for process monitoring
* Strong documentation and testing practices
