The role you will play
We are looking for a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to work from our Valencian office.
You will become part of LanguageWire’s Accounting Team, which is located at different locations across Europe. In your role you will be responsible for payroll across all our entities and work in close collaboration with the external payroll providers in other European countries like Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Spain. The job is unique in the sense that you get to use your specialist knowledge to ensure adequate payroll accounting in all the countries.

The team you’ll be a part of
You will be in our Valencian office and part of our Accounting Team at group level. Here you will be referring to the Senior Director of Accounting & Tax. Every month, you will be in touch with local payroll providers and ensure that the payroll across LanguageWire Group is done in a timely manner and accounted for in accordance with local legislation and group policies.

* Preparing and maintaining payroll computation and ensuring high standard of compliance and accuracy
* Ensuring collection of payroll processing documents and other accounting input and tax information in due time
* Checking the input payroll data, documents for compliance with the local regulations and the contracts
* Proceeding filing of the documents in accordance with the established filing system and maintaining files are complete and in a good order
* Meeting established deadlines for the payroll in countries, in which LanguageWire operates
* Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and inform superiors of the changes
* Reviewing and checking the accuracy of entered input data & output results
* Liaising with external parties like auditors, bankers, and relevant authorities
* Ensuring reimbursement in case of sickness and maternity according to country regulation
* Delivering reports and analysis to the organization
* Ensuring processing, approval and posting of incoming invoices in LanguageWire’s current Accounts Payable software
* Reporting changes to third parties like pension providers when changes to the payroll occur
* And other ad hoc tasks
* Being adequate, precise, and timely
* Being curious about learning and becoming an expert in payroll in different countries
* Showing great responsibility and stability in supporting the crucial process of payroll
* Paying attention to detail and thereby ensuring a correct payroll process
In one year, you’ll know you were successful if…
* You have full control and knowledge about all aspects of the payroll process in LanguageWire
* You have optimized any manual processes that can be optimized to improve the payroll process
* You have taken ownership of the bonus process in LanguageWire
* You have implemented a one size fits all system, for approval of payroll across all countries (This will be disclosed further during the interviews)

What you’ll need to bring
* Strong sense for detail and accuracy
* Curiousness on expanding your knowledge of payroll to many jurisdictions
* Excellent communication skills in English
* Flexibility to work around different payroll deadlines
* You have excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects and meet deadlines
* Flair for numbers, Excel and at least 2 years of experience in payroll processing

This will make you stand out
* Preferable you understand payroll in different European countries like Sweden, Germany, Belgium, and Spain
* It is an advantage if you speak and understand languages like German and Spanish to a certain level
* We use Visma Løn for our Danish employees, and it is seen as a plus, if you have experience with this or other similar payroll systems
* You possess a bachelor's or master's degree within Finance
