ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER
Join our team and build the future of space technology
We’re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a space system engineer with passion, talent, and experience to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology.
You will be part of the Electronic Development Area, responsible for designing electronic devices and products for space and ground segments, as well as support tools (GSE). You will handle the design and verification of new electronic products, mainly based on embedded systems.
What you will be doing:
* Analyzing high-level mission requirements
* High-level design of electronic devices using microcontrollers, FPGAs, and radio transceivers
* Component selection and procurement assistance
* Schematic and PCB design
* Designing and executing verification plans
* Prototype testing and formal product acceptance
* Creating documentation related to designed products
* Evaluating and implementing modifications to existing products
* Providing technical support to sales and after-sales teams, including client meetings
* Participating in technical meetings and reporting to the project manager
What we need in our team:
* Fluency in English
* At least two years of experience in electronic design
* Knowledge of digital, analog, and power electronics
* Experience with electronic design automation software such as Altium Designer
* Proficiency with test equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
Valuable additional knowledge:
* High-density PCB design (>4 layers)
* Experience with signal integrity for high-speed designs
* Design for EMC compliance
* Knowledge of test development tools: embedded C, C++, Python, Bash, git
* Understanding of ECSS standards
