Overview
Account Manager - Continental Europe & UK / Ireland. Madrid, Madrid. Virtuoso is the leading global travel agency network specializing in luxury and experiential travel. This by-invitation-only organization comprises over 1,200 travel agency locations with more than 20,000 travel advisors in 54 countries. The network offers access to preferred relationships with hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, tour companies and premier destinations, delivering exclusive amenities and experiences. Normalized annual sales are in the US$28–32 billion range.
Account Manager is responsible for managing relationships with key preferred Partners in the four Verticals (H&R, Cruise, D&E and Alliances). Responsibilities include achieving annual company and department sales targets for the assigned portfolio, growing and deepening relationships, and increasing preferred partner visibility within the Virtuoso Network.
Responsibilities
* Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including revenue performance goals in marketing, sales and event attendance sales.
* Create and maintain robust Partner Briefs for each global and regional account in conjunction with Global Partner Briefs. These will be housed on the CRM platform and contain strategic SMART objectives aligned with the Global Strategy.
* Enter Sales Activities in CRM for global visibility (notes, emails, meetings, calls, tasks).
* Implement, with partners, action plans for growth and engagement with Virtuoso to measure and achieve KPIs.
* Work within the assigned budget to achieve strategic objectives.
* Collaborative and strategic business planning with partners to develop growth and profitability plans that increase sales of Virtuoso products, services and events, tailored to the partner's goals.
* Educate, advocate for, and train partners on Virtuoso products, services and events to increase engagement and sales.
* Maintain and monitor the health of the existing partner portfolio; flag concerns to Directors in a timely manner.
* Manage and grow strong partner relationships, focusing on shared strategic goals with global and regional preferred partners.
* Increase travel partner sales and engagement; engage partners who may not be currently engaged with Virtuoso (regular analysis of Tableau reports).
* Represent Virtuoso at industry trade shows, conferences and meetings as required.
* Assist in Event Management: registrations, waitlists and partner priorities.
Educational and Skills Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
* 2–4+ years’ experience.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to a highly successful team performance.
* Awareness of current business trends; ability to collect and analyze information, problem solve, and make decisions.
* Agility and drive to inspire a win-win environment and deliverables.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; project management and excellent communications and presentation skills.
* Results oriented with a focus on commercial delivery; strong quality service attitude and approach.
* Self-motivated and energetic; champion of company goals and objectives; marketplace awareness.
* Intermediate analytical skills; collaboration and ability to work independently (self-starter).
* Languages: bilingual (English & French); German optional.
Travel Requirements
* Travel is required approximately 20%–35% of the time.
* Travel will be entirely in-region.
