We are looking for an Operations Manager for our fashion boutique in Barcelona. At the heart of CHANEL’s superior client journey, the Boutique Operations Manager ensures that the boutique team is equipped with the data, product and tools to constantly delight clients. The role is responsible for ensuring the boutique environment, product availability, personnel and processes uphold CHANEL’s leading luxury stance, driving the efficiency of the boutique. The OP Manager oversees the back-office teams and ensures the day-to-day function of the boutique, while anticipating business evolution and opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Conveying the House Strategy to the relevant teams (Stock, Cash, Care & Repair), ensuring objectives are understood and executed effectively
* Managing the back-office team in terms of recruitment, leadership, and setting and monitoring individual goals, conducting year-end retrospectives and providing regular follow-up through one-to-one conversations
* Identifying development areas for team members and formulating action plans, including training programs, to enhance skills and performance
* Leading with a positive, collaborative approach and encouraging knowledge sharing with complementary boutique functions
* Supporting and encouraging CHANEL Vital Behaviors across the team
* Ensuring the financial health of the boutique by providing value-driven analytical insights to decision-makers
* Monitoring retail indicators (turnover, sell-through, boutique traffic) and proposing corrective actions as needed
* Participating in setting and piloting sales targets for the boutique and the Fashion Advisors
* Reporting on stock and collection performances to optimize buying decisions and sales performance, with focus on product availability and corrective actions for stock issues
* Anticipating business evolutions and supporting management in building strategic action plans
* Enhancing daily operations by optimizing running procedures
* Supervising inventory organization to ensure product availability and overseeing stock-taking
* Supervising cash management within the boutique
* Building working schedules with the management team for optimal floor coverage and sales support
* Overseeing maintenance, IT, security, catering and administrative functions for the boutique
* Ensuring the boutique reflects CHANEL’s luxury standards to support client experience and that back-office provides an efficient environment for staff
* Provisioning the boutique with required supplies
* Implementing the Boutique Charter in the back-office and ensuring cash, inventory and security procedures comply with regulations
* Leading improvements and supporting the team in adopting new procedures
* Driving future growth by embracing innovation and continual improvements to operational efficiency
* Participating in projects to implement new tools and services to enhance client experience and operational efficiency
Qualifications
Your Expertise:
* Several years of experience, ideally in a (technical) management position in the retail environment
* Digital affinity and confident use of MS Office
* Enjoyment of process optimization and analytical activities
* Strong organizational skills and a results-oriented mindset
* Good knowledge of Spanish and English
