Research line / Scientific-technical services: Development of algorithms that are energy efficient.
JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: CITIC. Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (20 h/week).
Project data Title: UDC-Inditex Chair of Artificial Intelligence in Green Algorithms Reference: TSI-100925-2023-1
The objective of this contract is to collaborate in the research that will be carried out within the framework of the aforementioned project. This research is aimed at research in green algorithms. The person recruited will focus his/her work on one or more of the following lines of work: legal-social aspects of green algorithms.
Justification of the duration
A contract duration of 9 months is proposed, until the end of the project, and is considered sufficient to complete the research tasks of the project.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, engineering, architecture, bachelor's degree, diploma, technical engineering or technical architecture. It will also be an essential requirement to join the CITIC during the period of the contract.

Eligibility criteria
Criteria and assessment of merits (maximum 100 points)
A. Academic record of a degree in Law, Economics, Business Studies, Sociology or equivalent (max. 35 points). If the average grade is lower than 7 or if it is a related degree, the score obtained will be multiplied by 0.5 (by 0.25 if both are given at the same time). Other degrees do not count for this section.
B. Academic record of the credits passed in a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, linked to the legal and social branches of knowledge, or related (max. 5 points). If the average mark (weighted by the number of credits taken) is less than 8 or if it is a related degree, the mark obtained will be multiplied by 0.5 (by 0.25 if both are given at the same time). The average mark will be weighted by the total percentage of credits passed. Other degrees will not be scored in this section.
C. Demonstrable knowledge in the field of the tasks to be performed (legal or social aspects of artificial intelligence, max. 10 points), which may be demonstrated by means of a bachelor's or master's degree thesis or similar. Up to 3 points for bachelor's thesis and up to 7 points for master's thesis, depending on the qualification (max 10 points).
D. Publications related to the tasks to be performed (maximum 10 points): up to 5 points for each publication in journals indexed in Scopus in the fields of law, economics and social sciences (5 points for Q1 and Q2 journals, 2 points for Q3 and Q4 journals), 2 points for publication in journals indexed in DIALNET in the legal, social and economic fields’.
E. Attendance at congresses and courses related to the legal-social object of the contract (maximum 5 points): up to 1 point for each congress or course on digitalisation or artificial intelligence, directly related to the legal-social field.
F. Knowledge of English: maximum 10 points (from 1 point per level from A1 to B2. 8 points for level C1 and 10 points for level C2).
G. Other merits not considered in the previous points (courses, awards...): maximum 5 points, Awards received: up to 2 points depending on the regional (0.5 points), national (1 point) or international (2 points) scope. Training in research summer schools and similar, related to digitalisation or artificial intelligence issues: up to 3 points (1 point per summer school course).
H. Personal interview: 20 points. The three candidates with the highest scores will be interviewed by the Commission in order to assess their methodological proposals for collaboration with the project, their ability to express themselves, the way in which they carry themselves, the contribution of their lines of research to the objectives of the project, and the terms of their proposal for collaboration and the implications for the fulfilment of the project's objectives.
To this end, candidates should prepare for the interview by making a brief presentation of a maximum of 10 minutes, in which they will explain their most relevant potential contributions to the project and their methodological or content proposal for the development of their research in the framework of a legal project on local circular economy.
Maximum total score 100 points.

Interested candidates must submit an application clearly detailing the merits in different sections, following the same scheme and the concepts indicated in the assessment criteria. CVs submitted in a format other than the one specified here will not be assessed by the evaluation committee. Depending on compliance with the requirements and the assessment of merits, an order of priority will be established for the candidates.
The person who obtains the highest score will be awarded. With the rest of the applicants and respecting this order of priority, according to merit, a waiting list will be created, exclusively for this position, which will be used for hiring in the event of resignation, termination or temporary disability leave of the selected person.
The minimum score to access the waiting list will be 15 points (excluding the score obtained in the interview).
