We are partnering with a rapidly scaling space-tech company building next-generation Earth observation systems and secure, real-time communications from orbit.
They are looking for a driven Business Developer to play a pivotal role in scaling a fast-growing space company. You’ll help shape commercial strategy, open new markets, and convert high-value opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead business development initiatives to expand market presence and grow the customer base
* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers across European governments, institutions, and space agencies
* Work closely with engineering and technical teams to fully understand and clearly articulate the company’s services and value proposition
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with revenue targets and long-term business objectives
* Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs
* Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to prospective clients
* Lead contract negotiations, ensuring commercially favourable terms while building trusted client relationships
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to strengthen visibility and expand networks
Qualifications
* Proven experience in business development within the satellite industry (ideally upstream)
* Experience working in a scale-up environment or on bootstrap-mode projects
* Demonstrated track record of successfully closing deals in the satellite or space sector
* Strong ability to identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through to contract negotiation
* Solid experience preparing business proposals and commercial documentation
* Ability to clearly and concisely communicate about technical problems and propose insightful solutions for customers.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and company representation.
