Aresa Shipyard, we continue to grow and are looking to hire a
Senior Project Manager
to lead naval projects, coordinating engineering, production, purchasing, quality, subcontractors and the client, while ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs, quality standards and contractual scope.
Main Responsibilities
Lead shipbuilding projects from planning through to final delivery.Coordinate the Technical Office, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics and subcontractors.Monitor project schedules, contractual milestones, critical paths, costs and assigned resources.Follow up on workshop progress and anticipate technical, production or logistics bottlenecks.Coordinate inspections, FAT/SAT, commissioning, sea trials and final acceptance processes.Act as the main point of contact for the client, inspectors, classification societies and key suppliers.Manage scope changes, non-conformities, corrective actions and contractual documentation.Prepare internal progress reports, including risks and pending decisions.
Required Profile
Degree in
Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering .Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial project management, preferably in the naval, defence, offshore, composite or metal sectors.Experience working in a shipyard/production environment and coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.Strong technical judgement to interpret drawings, specifications, structures, onboard systems and installations.High level of professional English. Other languages will be valued.Proficiency in planning tools, Excel, technical documentation, Rhino and AutoCAD.Negotiation skills, clear communication, practical leadership and results-oriented mindset.
Especially Valued
Previous experience in shipbuilding, professional vessels, defence, patrol boats, workboats or fishing vessels.Knowledge of composites, lamination, mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics or propulsion.Experience with classification societies, client inspections, quality documentation and sea trials.Experience in high-paced production environments with several projects running in parallel.
