- Design, implement and maintain complex, mission-critical database systems
- Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability
- Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and apply advanced optimization strategies
- Manage database security, including access controls, encryption, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with development teams to define efficient data structures and optimize SQL queries
- Perform updates, patches and migrations with minimal service disruption
- Resolve performance issues proactively and effectively
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and operating procedures
- Keep up to date with new technologies, trends and best practices in database administration
- Provide mentoring and technical support to junior DBAs and team membersResponsabilidades
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related area
- High level of Spanish and Catalan
- 5-7 years of DBA experience in complex environments
- Mastery of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
- Strong advanced SQL skills
- Scripting for automation
- Database performance tuning and optimization
- Backup, recovery and high availability experience
- Database security, encryption and access management
- Data modeling and relational architecture design
- Knowledge of monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with migrations and updates
- Knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001 compliance
- Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
