Offer Description
The Endocrinology and Obesity group led by Dr. Manel Puig Domingo at IGTP is seeking a talented and motivated Bioinformatician with experience in high-throughput data management and analysis to participate in the project “ACROMICS: next-generation precision medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of Acromegaly”, funded by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III.
* BSc degree in Bioinformatics or related fields, with biology or genetics knowledge.
* Knowledge of statistical modelling or machine learning; Elastastic, GNN, and LLM are a plus.
* Experience in biomedical databases management.
* Knowledge in NGS data processing, analysis, and related bioinformatics tools.
* Experience with Spatial Transcriptomics data analysis is a plus.
* Programming skills in Python, R, SQL, Bash; C and C++ are a plus.
* Scientific writing and interdisciplinary research experience.
* Motivated, responsible, organized, with teamwork skills.
Languages: English - Excellent

Additional Information
* Indefinite contract (14/2011) linked to project PMP22/00021.
* 20 hours/week, 1,628 hours/year.
* Start date: 4th August 2025.
* Salary based on experience, paid in 12 installments.
