About the Team
As part of our EMEA expansion, we are launching a Commercial Hub in Barcelona to drive revenue growth across multiple European markets. This hub will play a crucial role in accelerating our SME sales efforts in established markets like France and Germany, as well as new growth markets in Europe (e.g., Spain, Portugal, Italy).
Within the hub, the Inbound Sales team will focus on converting high‐intent demand into revenue, working closely with regional sales leaders and other key go‐to‐market stakeholders.
About the Role
As an Inbound Sales Representative (Germany) based in our European Sales Hub in Barcelona, you will be responsible for driving new business by selling Airwallex's suite of products to German SME prospects. You will sit in our inbound team, owning everything from qualification to discovery, solutioning, commercial negotiation, closing and ensuring a smooth onboarding and activation experience.
You will work primarily with inbound, high‐intent leads generated through our marketing and product channels, while also running targeted follow‐ups and re‐engagement cadences to maximise conversion. You will collaborate closely with the Germany sales leadership and cross‐functional partners to deliver consistent, predictable revenue growth from the German market.
Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle from lead to closure for German SME customers – consistently delivering against conversion and revenue targets as well as key activity metrics.
Drive revenue growth by managing a healthy, high-converting pipeline of inbound SME prospects from Germany.
Collaborate cross‐functionally with regional sales, marketing, operations, and product teams to scale Airwallex's go‐to‐market strategy for the German market.
Define and refine sales processes including outreach cadences, qualification workflows, CRM hygiene, and reporting to maximize productivity.
Negotiate commercial contracts and partnership agreements, working closely with legal, finance, and strategy teams to drive deal execution.
Establish and share best practices across the global sales organization, contributing to a high‐performance sales culture and scalable playbook.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in sales roles, with at least 1 year of proven success in B2B closing roles.
Proven track record of performing in high‐velocity B2B sales environments.
Experience in B2B sales closure, deal negotiation, and revenue generation.
Relevant experience selling to or in European markets, ideally with exposure to Germany.
Strong familiarity with AI‐powered sales engagement tools, CRM workflows, and automation strategies.
Self‐starter, detail oriented, metrics driven, collaborative, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Native German and fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in or understanding of the fintech/payments or SaaS industry.
Experience in a hub / commercial centre model serving multiple countries.
