Overview
Senior System Engineer - Windows, supporting global Windows Server environments (versions 2012–2025), including Hyper-V and VMware. Provide top-tier support for complex issues, ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Conduct problem management and root cause analysis; scope project demands from IT improvements or business needs; contribute to the overall enhancement of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Support global Windows Server environments (2012–2025), Hyper-V and VMware.
* Provide top-tier incident and problem management; drive root cause analysis.
* Scope and contribute to IT infrastructure projects driven by improvements or business needs.
* Create and maintain documentation for processes, wikis, and knowledge articles.
* Implement changes per global change management processes; ensure compliance with Global Qualification standards.
* Offer on-call support on a rotational basis; participate in audit readiness and remediation.
* Execute infrastructure projects focused on security hardening and lifecycle management; manage global patching and vulnerability for Windows Servers and VMware.
* Explore use of AI technologies for predictive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.
Qualifications
* Extensive proven experience in Windows Server environments, with focus on networking, storage, and security.
* Strong interest in automation and AI technologies; knowledge of Azure Arc and cloud technologies.
* Solid understanding of hardware, including servers and blade servers.
* Commitment to reliable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure services; safeguarding against cyber threats and ensuring compliance with standards.
* Experience in lifecycle management and cost minimization.
* Strong ITSM/ITIL process improvement and data quality focus.
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT with business objectives.
