For our Data Centers in the Zaragoza area, we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to manage the day‑by‑day physical security operations of our sites. Under the direct leadership of the Cluster Security Manager, the DSS maintains the physical security posture of their assigned sites.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate day‑to‑day activities and site security operations.
Direct and manage contract guard force to run daily data center operations.
Provide guidance and leadership to contract security provider personnel.
Walk a facility and observe security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedure, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points.
Evaluate the contract security provider performance and service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
Foster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions.
Extract metrics and observe improvements by analyzing data.
Verify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards.
Assist in all media integrity related programs.
Assist in the training of new and existing personnel on behavioral compliance to security policies and procedures.
Handle escalations and resolve tasks delegated and/or assigned to the team.
Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations.
Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security policies, processes and procedures based on regional or global security initiatives.
Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security‑related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain security standards.
Participate in site audits, inspections and walk‑throughs.
Identify, discuss and bring forward issues and solutions to senior team members.
Interface with and assist in mobilizing vendors involved in system repairs.
Basic Qualifications
Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish.
Valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle for daily use.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
Hold Professional Identity Card (TIP) as security director qualification or ability to obtain one.
Hold Habilitación Personal de Seguridad (HPS) or the ability to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a relevant field.
Experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements.
Member of professional bodies like ASIS, OSAC or CSyP.
Experience developing and implementing standards, policies and programs or equivalent.
Experience in physical security (CCTV, access control and intrusion systems).
