IMDEA Food is part of the Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies Network, promoted by the Regional Government of Madrid, with the aim of conducting research that is both socially valuable and of international scientific excellence.
Within this framework, the “EIT Food Programme” is being developed. To ensure its proper implementation, the IMDEA Food Institute is seeking to hire a Junior Project Management Technician for innovation, training, and scientific dissemination projects.
The “EIT Food Programme” consists of a set of activities and projects among partners that form part of a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC).
To ensure the proper implementation of the EIT Food Programme during the 2025 fiscal year—which includes the projects 21324-RIS Professional Development – “WeLead Food”, 21330-Food Solutions Challenges – “Functional Foods”, and 21300 – Food System Master of Science Program—and to meet the commitments undertaken by IMDEA Food for the upcoming periods and calls, it is necessary to recruit a project management support technician in innovation to assist with the scientific and technical activities associated with innovation and science-based entrepreneurship projects.
Main responsibilities include:
* Support in the management of projects and communication campaigns related to scientific dissemination, education, innovation, and business creation (design, implementation, and evaluation).
* Support in the management and implementation of social media campaigns (design, execution, and evaluation).
* Development and management of website content.
* Coordination and preparation of dissemination materials.
* Support in the organization of institutional events to communicate the results of EIT Food activities.
* Support in organizing workshops, conferences, and meetings.
* Assistance in the preparation of technical, administrative, and financial documentation related to the projects.
* Support in the application and management of new funding calls for the different areas of the EIT Food Programme.
Additional training to be considered (other degrees, other knowledge):
* Specific training in the following areas: social media and digital marketing (SMM, SEO, SEM, web analytics, digital marketing tools, etc.), scientific dissemination and culture, communication and/or marketing.
* Training in the use of graphic design and editing tools (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, etc.).
* Training on the national and European science and innovation system.
* Training in the management of national and European research, innovation, and knowledge transfer projects.
Professional experience to be considered:
Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of experience is essential in:
* Strategic management and implementation of communication campaigns/projects related to scientific dissemination, education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and/or institutional communication.
* Organization of public events focused on dissemination, education, innovation, and/or entrepreneurship (workshops, conferences, meetings, fairs, etc.).
* Development of content and materials (editorial, graphic, and audiovisual) for the implementation of campaigns on social media and other communication platforms.
Additional experience to be valued:
* Experience in monitoring and analyzing social media metrics (e.g., with tools like DataStudio, Hootsuite...).
* Experience in managing and developing web content (e.g., Drupal, WordPress...).
* Web analytics and monitoring (e.g., Google Analytics...).
* Experience using graphic design and editing tools (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign...).
* Experience in the fields of Innovation, Education, and/or Entrepreneurship.
* Specific experience in managing EIT projects (especially EIT Food).
* Experience in the national and European science and innovation systems.
* Experience in managing national and European research, innovation, and transfer projects.
* Experience in media relations and in drafting and issuing press releases.

Gross Annual Salary: Highly competitive remuneration based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Selection process
The selection of candidates will be carried out in accordance with the principles of equality, merit, capacity and publicity, as well as objectivity, independence and professional rigor, respecting the confidentiality of the participants' personal data, by means of a merit-based competition.
Once the deadline for the submission of applications has expired, and once the fulfilment of the requirements listed in the second base has been verified, the Selection Committee will proceed to assess the merits included in the curricula vitae related to the post and to select the candidates who best meet the established requirements, and will then open a second selection phase consisting of a personal interview.
The personal interview will consist of a face-to-face or videoconference interview which will focus solely on the merits put forward by the candidates in the competition phase and will be aimed at assessing the candidate's suitability for the post. The interview will last a maximum of 45 minutes
