Future Learning is currently looking to expand our international sales team and is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, experienced, and confident Regional Business Developer to oversee our Spanish and some EU markets while based in Spain.
EU Regional Business Developer - based in Spain
As an EU Regional Business Developer, you will work in international sales, driven to achieve sales targets through all channels for all markets. Under the guidance of the EU Senior Sales Executive, your responsibilities include retaining and developing existing clients, securing new customers and routes to market, and supporting the development of innovative Future Learning projects.
The ideal candidate is creative, energetic, positive, detail-oriented, fun, and a team player. Being organized and attentive to detail is crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive repeat sales through B2B and B2C relationships/networks.
* Generate new sales opportunities via relationships, routes to market, and creative product offerings.
* Record all sales opportunities in the CRM system.
* Monitor leads, opportunities, and pipelines effectively using the CRM system.
* Respond promptly to leads and inquiries, prioritizing as needed.
* Collaborate with other departments regarding new business proposals to ensure feasibility and profitability.
* Achieve sales targets for new Future Learning centers and promote these centers internally and externally.
* Identify opportunities within the country for Future Learning.
* Attend external events, conferences, exhibitions, and workshops in your area.
* Travel to visit current and prospective clients within your region.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the international market, trends, and competitor activities.
* Meet annual sales targets and KPIs.
* Provide progress reports and sales statistics to directors.
* Develop a network for market intelligence and new business opportunities.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of Future Learning’s programs.
* Manage and develop key accounts, managing customer expectations effectively.
* Contribute to weekly sales meetings and strategic planning discussions.
* Expand the FL brand into additional EU countries as needed.
* Assist with translation, design, and production of marketing materials in Spanish.
Key Personal Goals:
* Identify new sales agents and partners in your market region (Spain and Portugal) and other regions (e.g., France, Germany).
* Enhance relationships with existing agents, partners, and suppliers.
* Achieve assigned sales targets and demonstrate team spirit.
* Use customer feedback for portfolio improvement.
* Develop direct and agent bookings in adult and young learner sectors.
Person Specification:
* Based in Spain.
* Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent.
* Fluent in Spanish and English; additional languages (Portuguese, French, German) are a plus.
* At least 3 years of experience in the International Language Education Industry.
* Background in account management, sales, or marketing.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across different cultures and levels.
* Proficient in IT, organized, and detail-oriented.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Comfortable with numbers, financials, and spreadsheets.
* Flexible, dynamic, and customer-focused.
* Travel is essential for this role.
Additional Desirable Qualifications: familiarity with Ireland as a language learning destination, a driving license, experience with digital marketing and CRM systems.

Contract Details & Hours:
Spanish working hours apply. Travel abroad and occasional weekend work for trade shows and events are expected. Compensation ranges from €21,000 to €24,000 annually plus commission, with total earnings potentially reaching €33,000 to €36,000+ based on performance. Native Spanish speakers preferred, with additional EU languages a plus.
