Johnson Controls is undergoing an extensive business transformation program, and many initiatives are technology enabled. The IT Business Enterprise Solution Architect is a business-facing IT position responsible for delivering IT investments and support that enable our EMEA Business.
* How you will do it
* Liaise and partner with Business and IT counterparts to understand technology needs and future state processes
* Influence the delivery of business solutions across our entire IT ecosystem, focusing on Installation, Service, and Back-office businesses
* Provide mentorship, consulting, and technical support to Business, IT partners, and support teams
* Ensure solution designs meet functional requirements specified by Stakeholders and Business Process Owners
* Review vendor and supplier proposals to ensure quality inputs and efficient system and process design throughout all project phases
* Evaluate the impact and profitability of initiatives
* Identify and mitigate business risks related to solution architecture and projects
* Review and validate test strategies, plans, cases, automation, regression, and execution
* What we look for
* Required
* Deep understanding of business models, processes, and systems
* Experience as a customer-focused IT Business Analyst or Solution Architect
* Proficiency in a collaborative, fast-paced environment requiring good communication and teamwork skills, as well as adaptability to shifting priorities
* Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally and globally
* Preferred
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
* Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, iScala, Baan, JD Edwards)
* Knowledge of Installation and Field Service business models and end-to-end processes
* Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in teams
* Experience with system integrations and resolving data discrepancies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to communicate analytics findings effectively
* Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies
* Experience working in large multinational corporations
