Position Overview
The Senior Underwriter collaborates with Account Management and Business Development teams to build, maintain, and develop broker relationships to foster profitable growth. The goal is to evolve broker relationships from trusted to trading partnerships, securing profitable renewals and generating new business within strategy and risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities
* Review complex cases and communicate underwriting decisions clearly and positively to secure new and renewal business within authority and risk appetite.
* Contribute to segment and local business development plans with Account Managers to identify new business opportunities.
* Manage and develop a portfolio of accounts to maximize profitable revenue from new and existing business.
* Utilize all relevant information sources to meet broker and client needs, building long-term relationships to generate and close new business opportunities.
* Negotiate underwriting decisions following agreed processes and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate with Account Managers and team members to resolve broker and client issues promptly, maintaining relationship quality.
