Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute Functional Safety activities according to ISO 26262 Part 4 (System-Level Functional Safety) and Part 6 (Software-Level Functional Safety)
Perform and document:
* DFA (Dependent Failure Analysis)
* DFMEA
* HARA (Hazard Analysis & Risk Assessment)
* Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and Technical Safety Concept (TSC)
Contribute to system and software safety architecture definition for:
* BMS, Batteries, Cells, HV Powertrain
* Safety‑related embedded software
* Collaborate with global engineering teams
* Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 deliverables across the development lifecycle
* Participate actively in design reviews, audits, and safety argumentation activities
* Provide technical guidance to engineering teams regarding safety mechanisms and compliance
Requirements:
* 10+ years of overall engineering experience
* Minimum 2 years of proven Functional xsgfvud Safety (FuSa) experience (mandatory)
* Strong expertise in ISO 26262 Part 4 (System-Level Functional Safety) and Part 6 (Software-Level Functional Safety)
* Experience with DFA, DFMEA, HARA, functional and technical safety concepts
* Software‑awareness and understanding of safety‑critical development
* Experience with battery systems, BMS, HV powertrain, or embedded safety software is highly valued
* High level of English (mandatory)
* Availability for 1 week on‑site in the UK during project launch (rest of the project is fully remote, with only very occasional travel)
