As the Head of Compliance for Market Area Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), you will have overall responsibility to lead a team of compliance officers in a dynamic and exciting region. You will be serving a diverse set of business and organizational units across the region and partnering with business stakeholders to implement Ericsson’s Ethics and Compliance program and drive accountability for compliance throughout the business.Ericsson’s Compliance Office, under the leadership of the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Investigations, has responsibility for all components of Ericsson’s Ethics and Compliance Program. The program covers compliance with our Code of Business Ethics and subject matters including anti-fraud, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-terrorism, and identification of emerging risks. You will also be called to support on matters in other teams addressing sanctions and export controls, antitrust, human rights, and anti-money laundering. As Head of Compliance for the Market Area, you will be responsible for driving an integrity-led culture across the region and implementing key Ethics & Compliance policies and procedures. You will report to the Chief Compliance Officer & Head of Investigations, and collaborate with other compliance and legal colleagues on training, communication initiatives, risk assessments, third-party due diligence and monitoring, and remediation. You will prepare analyses and report to stakeholders, including senior managers, about the effectiveness of the ethics & compliance program.In this role, you will lead and develop a diverse team of Compliance Officers, setting expectations and managing performance. You will guide them in partnering with business stakeholders to make sound judgments, implement the compliance program, and support effective risk management throughout the company.The role is hybrid with an “office first” approach (approximately 60% in-office) and can be located in any city in the EMEA region with an Ericsson office.In this role, you will be expected to:
Lead and manage all aspects of the region’s Ethics & Compliance program.Act as a solution-oriented trusted advisor, supporting your business stakeholders in proactively managing compliance risks, providing expert advice and practical problem-solving.Drive a robust culture of Ethics & Compliance and shared responsibility for compliance across the organization.Lead governance activities, managing committees such as the Market Area Compliance Committee, the Remediation Committee, and the Business Partner Review Board, and contribute to the Group Business Risk Committee.Oversee engagement and monitoring of third parties, in collaboration with colleagues in Compliance and other functions.Lead training initiatives for stakeholders on compliance topics.Assess and manage conflicts of interest, expenditure risks, and engagements with public officials.Lead remediation efforts from investigations or other processes across the Market Area.Collaborate with other assurance functions to identify and mitigate risks.Provide input to improve Compliance Office programs and initiatives.Analyze ethics and compliance data to enhance program implementation and address gaps.Identify opportunities for AI use in the compliance program and promote its responsible application.Manage an assigned budget.To be successful in this role, you should have:
At least 10 years of experience in an ethics & compliance leadership role in a multinational organization, with strong credentials.A legal degree is strongly preferred.Experience operating in high-risk markets within the region.A proven track record of partnering with senior leaders to identify and manage risks.Experience in a matrixed organization, collaborating across stakeholders.Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate risks clearly.Ownership and drive for complex problems and projects.Experience managing and developing a large, diverse team across multiple locations.Impeccable judgment, maturity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive issues.Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.Proficiency in relevant languages for the region preferred.Ability to work across time zones and travel internationally.Join our Team
