About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our team in Marbella.
This role is focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective merchants, and supporting clients throughout the sales and onboarding process.
You will work closely with our onboarding, compliance, operations, and account management teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to active merchant.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating with business owners and decision-makers, and developing a long-term career within the payments industry.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
* Identify and engage prospective merchants through various outbound and inbound channels.
* Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
* Conduct introductory meetings and presentations with prospective clients.
* Understand merchant requirements and recommend suitable payment solutions.
Sales Process Management
* Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact through to onboarding.
* Maintain accurate records and pipeline activity within the Companys CRM systems.
* Prepare commercial proposals and assist with contract discussions.
* Follow up consistently with prospects and maintain strong communication throughout the process.
Client Relationship Development
* Establish and maintain professional relationships with merchants and business partners.
* Work closely with onboarding and compliance teams to facilitate merchant activation.
* Support clients during the onboarding process and ensure a positive customer experience.
Market Awareness
* Stay informed about industry trends, acquiring solutions, and payment technologies.
* Identify opportunities for growth within target industries and markets.
Requirements
* Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or client-facing roles.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented.
* Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
* Professional and confident approach when interacting with business owners and decision-makers.
* Fluent English, both written and spoken.
* Additional languages are considered an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience within payments, acquiring, fintech, SaaS, financial services, or related industries.
* Understanding of payment processing, merchant acquiring, or online commerce.
* Experience using CRM platforms and sales management tools.
* Existing network within relevant industries is advantageous but not required.
