Kronos by Epsa is currently looking for a Junior Financial Controller for one of our banking clients based in Leuven. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with up to 2 years of experience to develop their expertise within a regulated banking environment.
Your role
As a Junior Financial Controller, you will support accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while working closely with senior stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating monthly and quarterly closings, including controlling, analysis, and reporting on costs and income
* Performing driver-based cost analyses and providing insights and recommendations to senior management
* Preparing financial statements and ensuring reporting to financial regulators and authorities
* Acting as the Single Point of Contact for external auditors and following up on open audit points
* Handling ad hoc financial queries from various business lines within your scope
Your profile
* Up to 2 years of experience in accounting and/or cost controlling
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting in a regulated environment is a plus
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Fluency in Dutch and English
