Overview
At Roche Diagnostics the Global Project Manager (GPM) is the operational backbone of innovation, responsible for orchestrating the delivery of diagnostic solutions at a systemic level. The GPM transforms traditional project management into an operational intelligence function, enabling value, ensuring end‑to‑end traceability, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Act as a strategic partner, ensuring vertical traceability between high‑level goals and execution units to enable autonomous, high‑quality decisions.
* Identify and resolve structural bottlenecks, absorbing operational overhead and administrative friction to protect core delivery teams.
* Guarantee a single source of truth with reliable, consolidated data for tracking investments, capacity, and risks, enabling predictive steering instead of reactive reporting.
* Drive the organic adoption of standardized frameworks (Quality, Regulatory, and Methodology) into daily workflows, ensuring compliance is built‑in.
* Facilitate cross‑domain connectivity, managing high‑level Risk and Opportunity Management (ROMA) and coordinating critical integration points across lifecycles.
* Serve as the operational pilot for critical lifecycles, shielding teams from bureaucracy, eliminating friction, and driving real‑time decision support for leadership.
Qualifications
* 3+ years leading complex operational frameworks or portfolios in Biotech/Tech, with experience navigating highly regulated environments.
* Mastery of the Ops Stack (JIRA, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Aha!) and modern frameworks such as SAFe, Lean, or Systems Thinking.
* Proven ability to translate complex strategy into clear operational execution plans and measurable outcomes.
* Strong advocate for team autonomy, viewing operations as a product that must be optimized for the user.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of connecting cross‑functional teams and ensuring alignment.
