The Head of Language Quality & AI holds the senior responsibility for the Language Excellence function within the Tech Vertical Line of Business. This position plays a vital role in shaping Lionbridge evolving strategies around an AI led LSP from developing new services, their delivery and continuous improvement, to winning and delighting our Strategic and Global customers.
This role is a Language SME, acting as the voice of Lionbridge across all Language and AI services, requiring extensive language expertise and experience.
The role also requires extensive LLM expertise and hands-on experience working with different models.
In addition, this role will direct and lead the Language AI team, including responsibility for high-level customer presentations and leadership of the global Language AI team, working closely with key internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do
* Own Language Quality for all programs, including driving the Quality communication externally with our customers.
* Oversee and own the Language Excellence teams, devise strategies tailored to our Strategic and Global customers.
* Lead a specialized team of Language Excellence Managers, focused on our Strategic and Global customers.
* Represent Lionbridge as the expert face, emphasizing our depth in language services proficiency.
* Ensure Lionbridge has the most effective Language models within the distinct customers to provide exceptional satisfaction and meet financial targets.
* Foster close partnerships with:
* Product team, to define and operationalize customer-facing and delivery-focused Language solutions.
* Product team to act as the main link for communication, knowledge share and operationalization within the team.
* Sales to supplement specialized expertise and knowledge, assist in conveying complex information more effectively to our customers, ensuring they have a clear and accurate understanding of our products/services.
* Leaders and GPMs to ensure language strategies are fully automated and deliver on Lionbridge commitments to our Strategic customers.
* Monitor overall KPIs to identify and drive new improvement initiatives across the company.
* As key part of Language Excellence team, guide the evolution of our Language Services and Processes, ensuring the voice of the team is represented and acknowledged.
* Engage with Community Management to enhance the delivery solutions and nurture a community eager about our language services.
* Assure the assimilation of new global providers to accommodate innovative technical solutions or newly emerging tech trends such as GenAI.
To Be Successful You Will Have
* Minimum 5 years in Language Management role.
* Extensive Ai and LLM expertise
* Keen presentations skills, ability to host and drive customer meetings and presentations.
* Leadership skills and ability to strategic thinking and planning.
* High level of customer focus and understanding of customer needs. (particularly customers from the technology sectors )
* Team management and development experience with matrix style structure and remote locations.
* Very strong communication skills - expertise in English written and spoken communication: e-mail, status reports, conference calls, customer proposals, etc.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Experience and willingness to be a good Collaborator and Partner.
* Ability to work well with others in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment.
* Self-motivated & positive can-do attitude.
