The Role:
We are hiring an International Agent to join our busy and fast-growing Operations and Customer services team based in Coslada, Madrid.
You will be the primary contact for clients and agents based in Middle East and Africa, as well as for the whole network of World Courier offices for shipments within these regions.
You will have the responsibility to book shipments and ensure that everything is done in a quality and timely manner so that shipments are delivered on time and in perfect conditions.
Location: Coslada, Madrid. Have your own vehicle to go onsite our offices in Coslada- hybrid model.
Two shifts are open for position :
Sunday to Thursday with Sunday from 09 to 17h30 and rest of the days from 11h30-20h00
Monday to Friday from 11h30-20h00
· Flexibility to cover public holiday (paid as an overtime and receive an extra lieu day)
· Until the completion of the training period (approx. 3 months), you'll work 4 days from the office (Monday to Thursday). Thereafter, you can work 2 days from home, one being Sunday (Hybrid)
What you’ll be doing:
· Handle enquiries from clients, agents and World Courier offices via phone and email in English and French
· Receive bookings via email and update World Courier’s internal tracking system.
· Provide quotations via email.
· Monitor and track ongoing shipments, reacting to any deviation from the plan.
· Keep clients and World Courier offices updated to the status of their shipment, especially regarding delays.
· Action all notes sent in World Courier’s internal tracking system.
· Advise clear pick up/special delivery/temperature control handling instructions to an agent or destination office on how a shipment should be managed.
· Communicate any temperature results as soon as possible after delivery, checking and noting any deviations.
· Build and maintain relationships with World Courier offices, clients, agents, airlines, handling agents and suppliers.
· Ensure internal systems are kept updated when new jobs are raised in the system.
What you’ll have (Candidate' requirements):
· Language Requirement: Fluency in English and French, verbal and written. (Essential)
· Prior experience or knowledge of the logistics sector (Desirable)
· Able to follow procedures and instructions and provide relevant information on request.
· Knowledge of Ms Office- Word, Excel, Outlook.
· Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
· Strong team player – able to work constructively with colleagues inside and outside of the department to ensure the best possible service is always provided to the client.
· Self-motivated, uses own initiative and high attention to detail
· Adaptable attitude – for working shifts and last-minute coverage.
· Able to prioritize workload, which may change throughout the day
· Kind, polite, reliable, and trustworthy
