About BSC
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC‑CNS) is the leading supercomputing centre in Spain. It hosts the MareNostrum supercomputer, was a founding member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE, and is the host entity for EuroHPC JU. BSC’s mission is to research, develop, and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. The centre combines HPC service provision and R&D in computer and computational science (life, earth, and engineering sciences) and employs over 1,000 staff from 60 countries.
Mission of the AI Factory
AI Factory is a major European project that accelerates the adoption and development of artificial intelligence across industry and the public sector. It delivers a comprehensive set of AI‑focused services, including training, networking, and innovation support structures, to foster effective use of AI, particularly among SMEs, start-ups, and public bodies. The Public Bodies Key Account Manager works with public organisations to identify AI innovation opportunities and guide them through BSC AI Factory’s resources.
Key Duties
* Engage with public organisations to identify AI use cases with operational or strategic impact.
* Provide first‑guidance on AI solution adoption, from ideation to integration.
* Guide public organisations through BSC AI Factory’s one‑stop shop to access services and resources.
* Collaborate with technical teams to define realistic AI project scopes, tailored data sources, or software tools aligned with constraints for the target group.
* Propose tailored support activities and services, including training, prototype development, and operational deployment for public organisations.
Requirements
* Education
o Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, or engineering.
* Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
o Deep knowledge of public sector innovation drivers (citizen attention, smart cities, territory planning, public safety, social services, etc.).
o Capability to frame AI value propositions around public service delivery and citizen impact.
o Experience in stakeholder engagement activities.
* Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
o Familiarity with public funding projects, especially European funding schemes.
* Competences
o Impeccable verbal and written communication skills (English compulsory).
o Familiarity with project management methodologies and CRM tools.
o Problem‑solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions.
Conditions
* The position will be located at BSC within the Directors Department.
* Full‑time contract (37.5 h/week), flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, relocation support.
* Duration: 3 years.
* Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24 th and 31 st of December per the collective agreement.
* Salary: Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience, and according to the cost of living in Barcelona.
* Starting date: May or June.

* A cover/motivation letter in English with a statement of interest, clearly specifying the specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered for. Two references for further contacts must also be included.
Recruitment and Selection Process
* Curriculum Analysis (40 % of the score): evaluation of previous experience, degree, training, and other professional information.
* Interview phase (60 % of the score): technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience will be evaluated by the department and Human Resources. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 is required to be eligible.
* Minimum 25 % representation of women on the recruitment panel, formed at the start of the process. At least one technical and one administrative interview are scheduled, as well as a personality questionnaire and a technical exercise.
* Final decision by the panel, with all interviewees receiving feedback.
