Role Overview:
As the Manager of Artist Development & Commercial Partnerships, you will represent AWAL in Spain, partnering with local and international artists to drive audience growth and streaming consumption. Your responsibilities include client management and marketing strategy, with an in-depth knowledge of social algorithms. You will act as an in-house expert in deploying strategies across content, influencers, creators, and media pages to support artist development locally.
The ideal candidate will be results-driven, ambitious, passionate about music and artists, and capable of building trusted, creative relationships with artists and partners. You will champion the AWAL brand in the market and help tell stories that shape culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee approvals and updates of digital releases.
* Liaise with departments such as Finance and Business Affairs to support artists' needs.
* Provide operational support to artists using the AWAL Suite.
* Advise local AWAL artists on marketing, release planning, and content creation, leveraging best practices from AWAL and Sony teams.
* Manage campaign budgets and create POs as needed.
* Track content trends, social conversations, and cultural events to identify opportunities for artist discovery and promotion.
* Share insights on local trends with the international marketing team to inform global strategies.
* Build and maintain relationships with content and social media platforms, creating opportunities for AWAL artists.
* Develop relationships with influencers, content creators, podcasts, radio, and media across genres.
* Coordinate promotion teams for local and international priorities.
* Generate regular reports on artist campaign progress.
Candidate Profile:
* 3–5 years experience in a record company, agency, or music marketing platform.
* Proven success with marketing campaigns for local acts; international experience is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of the local music market, including traditional media and new platforms.
* Proficient in digital landscape, social media, DSP ecosystem, digital marketing, and data analytics.
* Strong network of influencers, creatives, and digital agencies.
* Entrepreneurial, creative, and a team player.
* Passionate about music across genres.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize, and organize effectively.
* Fluent in Spanish and English.
