About You and This Role

Key Objectives
* Design, implement, and maintain components for the Clay React library used across Liferay products, serving thousands of developers and users globally.
* Write high-quality, maintainable code while managing technical debt.
* Participate in peer reviews, suggest improvements, and be open to feedback, fostering a learning environment.
* Utilize Git and GitHub daily for version control tasks.
* Work on a cloud-based platform evolving to support Headless, B2B, and SaaS services, integrating multiple enterprise systems.
* Collaborate closely with UX Designers and Product Managers to realize shared visions.
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in frontend development.
* At least 5 years of experience following software engineering best practices, including version control and testing.
* Experience building accessible web applications aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, with knowledge of WAI-ARIA, semantic HTML, and inclusive design.
* Proficiency with Git or similar DVCS, including branching strategies like git-flow and pull requests.
* Understanding and alignment with agile development principles.
* Open source contributions, hackathons, or meetups are a plus.
* A passionate, proud programmer and team player.
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Java (Spring Boot).
* Previous experience with Liferay Portal 7.0+.
* Ability to produce detailed technical documentation.
* Experience working within agile methodologies.
