As a member of the Sacyr Concesiones development team, the Assistant Project Manager – Project Development (APM) role is to assist with the P3 bidding process from a developer/equity investor perspective on P3 social and transportation projects across a wide geographical area.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist in coordinating and managing the P3 bidding processes from a developer/equity investor perspective from start to finish.
2. Negotiate relevant equity teaming and project bidding agreements.
3. Manage and coordinate the engagement of all relevant developer and lender advisors.
4. Support preparation of Request for Qualification (RFQ) submissions.
5. Help develop and implement project-specific bid management plans.
6. Develop an overall schedule and track project milestones and deliverables in consultation with the team.
7. Coordinate with the lead project management team members to develop bid deliverables from a finance, design, construction, operations, and rehabilitation standpoint.
8. Work with the legal team to negotiate commercial and contractual terms associated with the DBFM Agreement, Design-Build Contract, and Maintenance & Renewal or Facility Management Contracts.
9. Collaborate with the finance team to secure project financing, including coordination of lenders' technical, insurance, and legal advisor processes.
10. Help develop the Project Co costing for the project in consultation with the finance, legal, and construction and operations teams.
11. Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, advisors, and clients.
12. Prepare reports on bid progress, project descriptions, commercial activities, market assessment, etc.
13. Perform other ad-hoc tasks to support development activities or activities with the finance, legal, or technical groups.
14. Regular travel required for internal team and client meetings.
Required Profile
1. Bachelor's degree in civil and industrial engineering required.
2. At least 1 year of experience in project development/finance environment in the construction industry.
3. Working proficiency in Spanish and English.
4. Responsibilities cover a broad scope of expertise requiring quick learning, flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail.
5. A self-starter able to work in an integrated team of partner companies pursuing a P3 bid from initial teaming to financial close.
6. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks under pressure.
7. Lead and work within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
8. Strong understanding of the P3 contractual framework.
9. Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
10. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
11. Prior experience in successful P3 deals is beneficial.
