Overview Edged Spain has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Commissioning & Transition Manager. In this position, you will work directly with the Regional Operations Director, Regional Project Director, and Data Center Site Managers, being responsible for the planning and coordination of the commissioning for large-scale greenfield data centers and retrofit live data centers. We are looking for someone who identifies, coordinates and drives improvements in inbound safety, quality, and productivity, working with the Operations Management teams to continuously improve the functionality and the safety in the Data Centers. The Regional Commissioning & Transition Manager needs to be agile, professional, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. Key Responsibilities Project Management: Creates and implements multi-facility, standards-based commissioning plans and schedules Provides input and suggestions on new and existing Critical Environment Programs Communicates effectively with both business operations and construction managers Responsible for regional, short- to medium-term pipeline management to inform resource planning Liaises with internal construction managers and external general contractors on the planning and execution of all commissioning activities Maintains commissioning logs, equipment checklist, and other tools to track commissioning projects Develops electrical and mechanical Functional Performance Test procedures and Factory Acceptance Test Procedures Design Phase: Develop and review the Owner's Project Requirements and Commissioning Documents; Write Commissioning Plans and Programs; Lead stakeholder meetings and kick-offs; Create project directories and align commissioning timelines Construction Phase: Manage Level 2–4 Commissioning Workshops and testing; Attend and report on Factory & Field Witness Tests; Draft test scripts, checklists, and observation reports; Conduct weekly commissioning and client meetings; Track progress and keepcommissioning documentation up to date Acceptance Phase: Lead Level 4–5 Commissioning efforts; Analyze and present commissioning data to stakeholders; Prepare detailed reports and oversee Integrated Systems Testing Handover Phase: Coordinate training for operational teams; Review O&M; documentation; Facilitate "Lessons Learn" workshops; Deliver the Final Commissioning Report Process Management: Follow all commissioning processes and escalate any potential improvements to senior management; Develop standardized schedules and commissioning scopes based on specific customer contract requirements Reporting: Responsible for all internal and external progress reporting for all projects during the commissioning phase, in coordination with the construction project manager; Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports; Write comprehensive reports that include recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, lists of deficiencies, equipment operation, and maintenance manuals; Collate historical dataregarding specific equipment startup and testing challenges and report back to all OFCI equipment vendors; Provide input into dataanalytics/metrics reporting Vendor Management: Undertakes quarterly business reviews with vendors to review performance and ways to improve interaction; Produce project-specific commissioning RFPs and respond to bid clarifications; Level and recommend commissioning consultant award; Lead external resources; Schedule and direct periodic commissioning meetings; Determine vendor KPIs and conduct lessons learned reviews Skills & Requirements Education / Experience Minimum of 5 years of relevant Commissioning experience within a data center or industrial environments Demonstrable ability to implement new frameworks, policies, and procedures Proven track record of managing and leading diverse multi-country teams Specific Skills / Abilities Able to effectively lead and manage a team Used to operating at all levels of the organization Great at communication and influencing skills Fluent in English About Edged Spain Edged Spain is creating a global network of carbon-neutral, zero-water edge infrastructure for data center and microgrid projects.
