Head of Network and BOS Consulting
Job Summary
Ericsson Consulting seeks a highly experienced Techno-Operational Consulting Leader to head the NW & BOS Transformation Consulting practice and join the Global Consulting Leadership Team. The role leads engagements that generate value for our customers and support Ericsson’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Drive global P&L; and define objectives of the NW & BOS Transformation Consulting domain
- Identify, develop and manage a portfolio of leading NW & BOS Transformation Consulting offerings
- Identify consulting opportunities by collaborating with tech professionals, sales and solution architects
- Convert opportunities into proposals and actively contribute to consulting proposals
- Guide and lead delivery of consulting projects and programmes worldwide
- Engage as a thought leader at CxO level
- Lead the NW & BOS Transformation consulting team comprising senior members
- Manage stakeholders across geographies within consulting communities
- Contribute beyond the domain to meet overall business objectives
Domain Expertise Areas
- Autonomous Networks, Orchestration & Automation Transformation
- Understanding of e2e methodology, orchestration and automation approaches in industry leaders and early adopters
- Experience with transformation delivery programs, including organisational, process, system integration and operational transformation impacts
- 5G Core and 5G Network
- Knowledge of 5G Core evolution, deployment options (SA) and end‑to‑end technology evolution beyond Core, especially RAN and Transport
- Understanding of business implications of 5G Core and technology roadmap for monetisation
- Telco Cloud Transformation – Virtualisation and Cloud‑Native
- Challenges, impacts and approaches of cloud transformation from technology and deployment perspectives
- Experience with Telco Cloud Transformation programmes and operating models
- Knowledge of CICD / DevOps and related operational processes
- Operational implications of moving 5G Core and other network elements to virtualised/cloud‑native environments
- Operational Transformation and Operating Models for 5G Evolution
- Defining transformation approaches for 5G evolution and associated operating models
- Processes, metrics, KPIs and high‑level OSS systems knowledge (inventory, assurance, activation)
- Agile Methodologies and DevOps
- OSS Systems / Support Strategies
- Trends in orchestration solutions, automation, micro‑services, analytics and policy use
- Awareness of competitor vendor landscape and Ericsson portfolio strengths
- Standards: TOGAF, ITIL, TMF TAM/SID, ODA
- Telco Cloud Technology (containers, micro‑services, MEC, public cloud solutions, reference architectures)
Qualifications
- 15+ years of professional experience with demonstrated ability to sell and deliver consulting projects
- Proven capability in Core / Technology / Operational Consulting with a business mindset
- Leadership experience in consulting practice, teams and P&L; accountable roles
- Technical knowledge across Core, Cloud, RAN, Telco Orchestration and B/OSS Transformation domains
- Delivery skills: strategy formulation, transformation journeys, fact‑based storytelling and influencing
- Strong people and team leadership skills: coaching, development, team growth and operational management
- Strong behavioural skills: excellent communication, innovation orientation, cross‑cultural experience and commercial focus
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s in Business preferred
Location & Travel
Integral – based in India (Gurgaon) with 50% international travel required.
