The Hapimag Paguera Resort is located on the beachfront. The Resort has 239 apartments, a restaurant, a beach restaurant, a cocktail bar, a supermarket, outdoor pools and an indoor pool.
We are looking for a motivated, service-oriented professional to join our team as a Head Chef to cover a temporary sick leave.
What you can expect
* Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the total quality, service, financial management, operations management and employee aspects of our 3 outlets (including staff canteen) and overseeing 10 chefs.
* You create, modify and develop recipes, standardizing production to ensure consistent quality.
* You elaborate, organise, assign and actively participate in the preparation of all dishes and coordinate daily tasks with the kitchen team.
* You will report directly to Resort Management and the Corporate Food & Beverage Manager.
* Creation and control of employee duty rosters (in agreement with the resort management)
* Training of new employees
What you bring along
* Proven record of achievements in a similar position within the hotel-industry.
* Good knowledge of English and Spanish as well as in hygiene and HACCP standards.
* Computer literacy and financial skills in terms of budgeting, forecasting and controlling.
